Ben Cooper
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Iowa, majoring in Neurobiology with a focus on the Pre-Medicine track. Previously, my academic journey has been enriched by hands-on experience as a research assistant in the Department of Pediatric Urology at the University of Iowa. In this role, I am actively involved in a compelling project that investigates the accuracy of various calculators in predicting resolution probability in children with Vesicoureteral Reflux.
The Iowa Neuropathology Resource Laboratory (INRL) provides an opportunity to further develop my understanding of Neurodegenerative Diseases. My enthusiasm for learning, as well as the ability to hone my bench-top skills, has found a perfect intersection at the Iowa Neuropathology Resource Laboratory. Through my involvement with Iowa Neuropathology Resource Laboratory, I've had the opportunity to acquire new skills and deepen my understanding of disease pathology. This dynamic environment allows me to seamlessly blend my passion for learning with the practical application of acquired knowledge.
The Iowa Neuropathology Resource Laboratory enables a more hands-on and immersive approach to both my major and personal interests. Currently, I am striving for honors in my major, utilizing the Iowa Neuropathology Resource Laboratory experience to pursue a research project. This endeavor not only allows me to contribute to the field but also facilitates the development of my unique research skillset. I would encourage all to experience working in a research laboratory!
